abstract = "The main objective of this study was the determination of the
surface albedo to Forquilha Basin in Cear{\'a}, Brazil. It was
used four images of the Landsat 5 - Thematic Mapper satellite,
obtained in September, 1985, 1996, 1997 and 2004. The
determination of the surface albedo was done according to
procedures of algorithm SEBAL (Surface Energy Balances Algorithm
for Land), which is based on the radiance of Landsat 5- TM
channels (1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7). Results showed that the albedo has
decreased in a long period of time. The highest values observed of
albedo was in the vegetation located on the margins of rivers.",
